After getting
formatted spread sheet style results
from your database, you can edit the
records directly on your spread sheet.
When your done you can upload all the
records on the spread sheet by
either
Editing individual Records.
Suppose your query results returned 30
records but you only need to edit 2 or
3, or individually by right clicking
over the record row and selecting
Edit Record from the pop up
menu. You can also edit an individual
record by double-clicking over the gray
background row number on the left.
The
Record-Edit Dialog Box will
open with a better view of
all the field values of the
selected row result. The
list will contain one field
value per line and can be
edited by selecting the
field and using the Edit:
text area. Once you either
select another field from
the list you will notice
that the edited ones value
has changed. To make it
easier for you to determine
which field to edit, the
actual selected field name
will show in the Field
Name: label.
If your field value is a long string, double clicking on it will
switch it to the larger text area
panel for easier editing. Just
click the OK button when your done
editing to switch back to the
normal list panel.
Once your finished editing, you
can either:
Add the record to your Pending
Query List
Delete this record from your
database.
Adding records to
your Pending Query List
When you click the
Add Record button, you will notice
that a row was placed on your Pending
Queries: list.
Well why not
just upload the record query
directly instead of putting it on
the Pending Query list you may
ask? You may want to edit records
on various tables and
databases. Its just quicker
adding them to the pending
query list and then
uploading them all at once.
You can then either click the Run
Selected Query link or Run All
link when you want to upload all
records from your Pending Query
List.
